BOTHELL, WA (Jun. 9, 2011) – Rotary International President Ray Klinginsmith awarded Lynnwood Rotary with the 2010-2011 “Presidential Citation with Distinction,” in a ceremony conducted on June 9, 2011 in Bothell, Washington.  Rotary District 5030 Assistant Governor Stan Miner presented Lynnwood Rotary President Andrew Ballard with the award.

Ballard addressed the club and thanked them for their service in the service year (July 2010 – June 2011).  “This award is for you.  It is because of your efforts as a club,” he shared.

The award is presented annually to Rotary clubs throughout the world who demonstrate active community engagement in four areas: education, local community service, international community service, and Rotary service.  Clubs showing exceptional contribution to each area of community engagement are given the additional qualifier, “with distinction.”
