Press Release (6-2-11) – LYNNWOOD ROTARIAN HONORED WITH REGIONAL COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD

LYNNWOOD, WA (Jun. 2, 2011) – Barbara Earl, past-president of the Lynnwood Rotary Club and seventeen-year member of the international service organization was honored in a ceremony at Edmonds Community College on June 2, 2011 by District Governor John Matthews.  Earl was awarded the “District Club Builder Award,” for her leadership to grow the Lynnwood Rotary Club into one of the largest clubs in the district.

Earl’s accomplishments include increasing club membership by more than 5%, performing significant leadership roles within the club, and accomplishing significant fundraising increases resulting in a sizable increase in scholarship money for students in the Edmonds School District.  Her nomination was endorsed by three past presidents of the club and three past district governors of District 5030.

Lynnwood Rotary is a service organization of civic and business leaders based in Lynnwood, Washington. We meet weekly at noon on Thursdays at Edmonds Community College, and welcome guests and prospective members anytime.
